When you get invited round for a barbecue you would normally expect to have a chicken drumstick, a burger, burnt sausage, maybe a bit of blackened sweetcorn….not this time. Bertrant won the award of ‘Man of the Day’ by catching everything we ate. In the morning he dived off the coast and caught scallops, crabs, lobster, squid and harpooned some sea bass! Eat your heart out Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.
He then prepared everything and cooked it all on three barbecues. It was delicious. The sea bass was melt in the mouth delicious.
It was a wonderful meal. Lilli thought if she looked cute enough she would bag a crab. You know what thought did!
I provided a small stater of Broad Bean Dip made up of beans and herbs from the garden but l felt a bit feeble stood next to Scuba Man!
Thank you for a great night Erica & Bertrant.
